Church Life
At Gardenmore we take WORSHIPPING JESUS seriously. Our services on Sundays, along with many of our organisations, help us to glorify and enjoy God by FOLLOWING JESUS. We are a reformed and theologically conservative congregation made up of people who love expository Bible teaching and blended worship. If you require any more information about our services or organisations please contact us.
Sunday Services
Worship
Worship
Sunday, the Lord’s day is the most important day of the week. Not only did Jesus die for our sin but he arose to new life again, promising eternal life to all who trust in him. He did this on the first day of the week. So as well as Christians being people of the cross we are people of the resurrection, meaning we are those who worship the risen Jesus on the Lord’s day each week. We gather for worship every Lord’s day both morning and evening at 11.00am and 6.30pm.
We also have a time of prayer, 30 minutes prior to each service you could join us for.
After morning worship there is usually an opportunity to catch up with one another over a cup of tea or coffee.
Crèche
Crèche
Every Sunday morning a crèche is provided by volunteers from the church family, for all preschool children to allow parents / carers to attend morning worship in the church. The crèche room is situated on the ground floor of the halls behind the church building and provides a safe and welcoming environment for all babies and toddlers
Sunday School
Sunday School
Our Sunday School is open to all primary school aged children. We encourage families to worship together for the first 20 minutes of the morning service before the children leave for their age specific groups which meet in our halls for the remainder of the service.

Tea and Coffee
Tea and Coffee
On Sunday morning we regularly have over 110 members, with well over half remaining for tea and coffee after the service. This is a time when members connect and discover what it going in each other’s lives and pray for one another. Newcomers are encouraged to stay after worship providing us with an opportunity to welcome them and to get know them.

Church Choir
Church Choir
The roll of the Choir is to lead the congregation in its praise at Sunday morning worship.
On occasions such as Easter, Harvest, Remembrance Sunday or Christmas we participate more fully by singing special and appropriate anthems.
Practices are on Tuesday evenings from September to April/May from 7.30pm until 9.00pm at the latest. Not all our members can read music … it’s amazing how much you can learn. So, if you can sing, do please come along and join our ‘family’. There’s room for all parts, i.e. soprano alto, tenor and bass.
As well as choir on Sunday mornings we have a small number of Sunday evening singers to help lead our praise.
Do you play an instrument? Our organist, Marna, would like to hear from you as you could have a part to play in an occasional music group to aid our praise.
Friends Together
Friends Together
Friends Together is a friendship group for seniors people in our congregation and community. and meets in our church halls monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 2:00pm from September to April.
We have guest speakers on a variety of interesting topics, play games, and occasionally make some seasonal crafts. We have an annual outing each April to round the year off. Each month we enjoy a lovely afternoon tea where everyone has a chance to chat and enjoy fun and fellowship in relaxed and pleasant company. The organisation is open to all seniors, not just members of our own church. Everyone will be made most welcome in a farm and friendly environment.
At the moment our most pressing need would be for guest speakers. It has become increasingly difficult to provide a speaker for each month. We would encourage anyone who has an interesting hobby or talent to come along and share with us. Extra helpers would also be very welcome. Prayers for the organisation and the wellbeing of its members are always deeply appreciated.
Hillwalking Group
Hillwalking Group
Formed in 2008 and with the exception of the ‘Covid break’, we have been walking together sine. The walks take place on the teens Saturday each month.
Our walks have taken us to explore hill country and ‘off the beaten track’ places in 10 counties of Ireland; 6 in Northern Ireland plus Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.
Our plans for 2024/25 are to revisit the Glens of Antrim area including sections of The Moyle Way. Departure times and further details will be noted on the church announcement sheet.

The Meal Train
The Meal Train
One example of how we have sought to reach out to our community in practical ways is using the ‘Meal Train’. This is a service offered by a team of ladies from the congregation where meals are provided for those who could use some help during common life events, eg illness, surgery, bereavement or those who have had a new baby. The members of the team use an online webpage to record the meals (when and what) they are supplying and others can see this so duplication is avoided and the load is evenly shared. Feedback on this ministry has been extremely positive.
